Goodbye Fake Nails.

We all get our nails done at some point, we have all tried the acrylic or shellac and sometimes you just get so fed up with them that you just want to rip them off.  For some reason I hate paying to get them taken off so instead i do it myself. Here are some tips on taking you fake nails off at home.

Acrylic:
1. Get a towel and put it down wherever you plan to remove your nails that way if you make any spills your protected.
2. Fill one little bowl of hot water (not boiling), fill another bowl with pure acetone just enough that will cover your nails though.
3. Place your nails in the acetone bowl and leave to soak for abut 10-15 minutes. If still not soft leave in for longer.
4. If soft use a nail scraper to remove the acrylic surface, be careful to not scrap off your natural nail.
5. Re-soak if the acrylic nail won't fully come off and than do it again.
6. Put both hands into hot water to give them a little rest.
7. If your nails don't hurt to much than try to file your natural nail.
8. Wash your hand throughly to get off the acetone, apply hand cream and lots of it than apply cuticle oil.
9.  Leave your nails to breathe, don't pain them right away!

Shellac:
What you will need: cotton balls, aluminum foil, pure acetone and tweezers.
1. Rip 10 piece of aluminium foil into a rectangular shape.
2. Soak the cotton ball into the acetone nail polish remover, than wrap the aluminum foil around the cotton ball over your nail.
3.Repeat this on all of your nails, leave for at least 10 minutes.
4. After 10 minutes check one nail, the shellac should be lifting off your nail by this point, so take the tweezers and gently scratch off the polish. If it's not working leave for another 5 minutes.
5. Do it to the other hand now.
6. Give your nails a final scrub with nail polish remover.
7. Wash your hands and moisturize.
8. Again leave them to breathe don't paint them right away!
